Good book for children to hear or to read in February because of Presidents Day. /5(20). No other Presidents, including the current one, are mentioned, nor is the President's role well defined.

The book focuses as much on the Revolutionary and Civil Wars as on Presidents Day and portrays the Civil War as a war fought exclusively over slavery. It also implies that all southerners were pro-slavery and were slave owners/5(9). The Robin Hill School series is typically awesome, but this particular edition of "Presidents' Day" has one thing lacking-an oversight.

There is a collosal oops in this copy. It names the current President. Except the current President isn't Barack Obama/5(7). Presidents Day was a great book. Incorporating historical fiction from a students point of view playing one of 5 presidents in a play. This book brings some great information in a playful way.

Presidents Day Printable Mini Unit. We read President’s Day by Natalie M. Rosinsky which did an excellent job of explaining what President’s Day is and how it began, why we honor Abraham Lincoln, why we honor George Washington, symbols of President’s Day, and how we observe President’s Day Today.

This book is great for students in K-6th grade as both a read aloud and read alone book. This book is a great introduction to the two presidents we honor on Presidents' Day. The pictures are real portraits and lithographs from the time, not cheesy kid drawings, which I appreciate. The information is generally good, written at a basic level but not too dumbed down -.
